I read the NYT piece about the Roosevelt Library in North Dakota by Snøhetta and wondered where the solar panels were. So I visited while driving through yesterday and they are nicely designed cantilevered glulam timber parking canopies that match the building.

This beauty is actually a performance stage at the market square in #Turku. Looks like a wooden sculpture, very arty. It is made of glulam which is layers of wood glued together.

New upcycle project. Component rack. Shelves are “Butcherblock” milled from salvaged GluLam beams. Uprights are old growth cedar from logs pulled out of Lake Union. Used to float boathouses.
