I take it as a fact that there will be runway incursions, goarounds, single engine aircraft having engine failures, wingtip collisions, stuff that is baseline and shouldn't be overreacted to. But what are the numbers that the public can access and measure & use to estimate SLA compliance?

It always irks me a bit hearing people (boomers [my dad]) proclaim "airline pilots don't even fly, they just sit behind an autopilot".

I want to force them watch footage of the airliner landings (and goarounds) during Storm Isha and remind them it's all being flown by hand
