Designing my next game on a 550TI at 720p and going to upscale to 4K.
Minimum system requirements 4080ti overclocked with a i3 12500k overclocked aswell. It hits 15fps on low graphics mode

Well, depends on the genre of the game you have in mind, of course.

But for a "general purpose game engine" I recommend Godot Game Engine.

Basically whatever Unity can do, Godot also can do.

And best of all, Godot is both gratis & libre open source.

Discovered the original textures for Forgotten Realms: Unlimited Adventures, Eye of the Beholder I, II, & III, as well as Dungeon Hack
