Some recent photos from Yale. No. 9 and No. 7. It looks like there is good turf cover on all the greens. The original plan was for the course to open in the summer of '26. I have heard no different. Bunkers seem to fit with '34 aerial. #SethRaynor #CBMacdonald #GolfArchitecture #YaleGolfCourse

While many of the #DunluceLinks greens are #RaisedGreens, others—like the #13thHole and #17thHole—sit naturally on the ground, allowing the #NaturalContours to speak for themselves. It’s a masterclass in #GolfArchitecture, where subtle design choices create lasting impact.

Rodeo Dunes is a masterclass in blending raw, rugged texture with thoughtful, intentional architecture.

My first brief look at an incredible golf course, and I can't wait to go back.

More to come

I'm plotting an eventual golf trip with some friends and of course a result of that is I'm trying to min-max the perfect trip, explore public golf without leaving my house, etc. Just generally hyper-fixating. Here's the result:

Joe Hancock has worked with enough great architects to notice the common thread:

The best ones don’t chase whatever is trendy.

They have design tenets. Convictions. A way of seeing golf that shows up job after job.

That’s how courses get a soul instead of a gimmick.
