So...I really kinda wanted a sweet treat, but didn't have much in the house. I was trying to make my mind up about whether to forgo it when there was a knock on my door--my neighbor with a plate of homemade cookies and cake. ❤️

Was promised charcuterie and “a couple of bottles of Petrus for lunch”. Technically speaking, no lies were told, although this was not the first “Petrus” which came to mind. 😆 Pretty good beers as it turns out. #petrus #beer #belgianbeer #notpomerol #notwine #goodsurprises

Update ob our #bananas from a month ago…. They are doing well! Thinking it won‘t be long before we are eating these ☀️ #goodsurprises #nature.

Our banana trees are producing #bananas! This is a first. They are in an area relatively protected from wind. That said, perhaps the three named storms that blew through here last year knocked out enough limbs from the cypress trees around them to allow enough light for this. #nature #goodsurprises
