Imagine standing in an open forest where ancient pines tower overhead, and low fires dance across the ground after a thunderstorm. The wiregrass springs back from the charred ground within days, and #GopherTortoises are lumbering in to sample the fresh, green shoots.

Animals? How about a pair of #Gophertortoises duking it out? Found the smaller one upside down after the first encounter. I think he got brave with me there and chased the bigger one away. Chased him all the way down the street! Kept charging into the bigger one "clack!" it was very cool. #nature

haven't seen this one yet. it's an outlier on the other side of the road. picked the highest spot in the hay field and has a pretty nice view. I'm going to have to find that trail cam to see if I can catch it out. #GopherTortoises
