My job often requires analyzing images of atrocities and violent crimes and aside from the trauma, watching individual acts of violence does not improve understanding any more than staring at one single data point. Read a book. Listen to interviews. Goreporn telegram channels will not inform you 1/x
I have reported on mass death events and have lots of friends and colleagues who are war reporters and humanitarian aid workers and combat veterans.
