Every once and awhile I write something and go "Oh, that's right, I'm a horror writer. Huh."

Verdict: Like every Taylor Sheridan GothicWest story, cinematic masterpiece & plot disaster.
Reminds me of "1883," where Sheridan puts the hapless group in every ridiculous Old West peril. When all they had to do was sell their stuff in Texas and take a freaking train to Oregon.
My wife's watching the Taylor Sheridan film "Those Who Want Me Dead." Taylor Sheridan does love his Western Gothic. And wildly unsubtle storytelling.
