once again flinging myself upon the mercy of the bluesky network

does anyone know a nonprofit in need of a grantwriter for a fully remote contract position who has 20+ years' experience and is exceptional at her job but arts orgs are STRUGGLING and nobody can afford contractors right now

2/ He said that his grandfather always remembered meeting a group of Diné that came to visit NZ a long time ago, in the 1960s, and he always remembered that.

That visit was arranged by my father, a mere grantwriter at the Ford foundation: paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/periodicals/...

bit of a long shot, but

I have two clients wrapping up their contracts who I just found out aren't renewing, and a possible third in December. anyone out there - ideally in A) Portland or B) the arts, but I've kind of done everything tbh - looking for a grantwriter with 20+ years experience?

A+ bait and switch here, where the headline is "The Good-Man Shortage Has Gotten Exponentially Worse" and the article is "Maybe stop thinking every teacher and grantwriter is trying to scam you, Charlotte" www.thecut.com/article/good...

Are you a grantwriter?
Are you a person-driver?
Are you a fund raiser?
Are you in Seattle and Volunteer-Curious?
Are you somebody with an empty nest or spare bedroom?

Consider volunteering for KOInitiative.org - save some trans lives!

speaking as a grantwriter, the fact that she just identifies organizations who are doing important work and hands them unrestricted funding is one of the most useful things a rich person could possibly do with their funds (besides, obviously, pay taxes). eliminate all the hoops and red tape

I'm a grantwriter whose background is mostly in the arts and it's the same song and dance you have to do to get funding for arts education. "exposure to classical music in elementary school improves math test scores!"

which is not why people write music, but it's what you have to say to Wells Fargo

So guys, my job working as a grantwriter for a homelessness organization laid me off months ago. I've been looking for a job, still am. I've been working a huge amount of hours weekly for low pay for a Black leftist radio show aired nationally, advancing my books, writing things under contract.

Gosh, imagine if we had a functioning NIH grant system after the current regime is over… and a good grantwriter to start a lab for monitoring feral cat population births for malformations/mutation types by location. Then correlate with groundwater data…

So much easier to do this as a grantwriter than as "myself." The grantwriter in me can game it.

Excellent advice! I spent most of my career as a grantwriter. "Sentence shrinking" is crucial when each section of a complex funding application has word count or character count limits.

I am a freelance grantwriter, specializing in complex government applications. I theoretically was fully booked for 2025. But the planned submissions to federal programs are dead now -- such as a USAID project in Ghana, a U.S. Embassy Nairobi application, and a U.S. rural housing development. Panic!

I think they are hiring more than one contract grantwriter. You should apply too. Maybe we could be colleagues!

I am a grantwriter, rather than a novelist. I recently sobbed while writing a Habitat for Humanity proposal for disaster recovery in Western North Carolina. Our equipment list included emergency camping lights for families living in tents. Rather than the indoor light fixtures in a Habitat home.

Wonderful! I will watch for the anthology link. I am a grantwriter and currently helping two mountain Habitat for Humanity affiliates with their disaster recovery fundraising.

I am a grantwriter for nonprofits. Good way to use my skills for a charitable cause. But spending so many hours on proposal submissions does distract from my childhood dream of writing a novel.
