Totally random. Whenever there's something new/unworked on the band I'm waiting, I try to jump on it. Using Gridtracker.

Xiegu DE-19 for my #gobox setup I've been working on. I got it instead of the Digirig because this item will connect to #HamRadioDeluxe, #WSJTX, #GridTracker without a problem. Still not sure if the Digirig will connect to #hrd, could not find a definitive answer. #hamradio #digital #portable #pota

A glance at the #HamClock said 40 was the hot band atm.
Sent a CQ on 40 (rare) & had 4 responses (very rare).
WSJT-X-Improved set to pick the most distant.
Naturally, they didn't continue the QSO.
CQ'd again, started another QSO that abruptly aborted at the other end.
QRZ profile FTW.

Yeah, I am. Can't complain. Chirp for memory stuffs, SDRangel for waterfall and scanning when SSB/CW, GridTracker for hunting in digital modes. TS-590 as transceiver. Very happy.

Hi, any #hamradio #gridtracker users know how to migrate the software to a new computer? The only procedure I can find seems not to work for GridTracker2 😒

Testing out some of the other modes but mostly just interested in getting gridtracker working for better visual targeting of missing grids and QTHs. Honestly, even with this all working now, I am most likely to stick with just plain SDR-Control. I enjoy the simplicity.

I blend my background as a Geographer with HF operations making FT-8 contacts world-wide and locating them on GridTracker. Occasionally, QRZ biographies are interesting about places people live all over the world. With Google at your finger tips, it is easy to improve ones knowledge of Geography.

I have been trying to get on all the HF bands using mag loop antennas, which seem to help with the Chicago QRM. Appreciate the YouTubes you have made on the subject! Love FT8 & GridTracker for getting a quick take on how the signals are getting in and out.

First test of the new station. The antenna is working well, but 40m is pretty bad on the lower CW end, so I'll have to fiddle with tuning to get the SWR below at least 2:1.

I don’t know what’s happened but suddenly the east coast is on fire for me the last couple of days on 10M (I can never make reliable contact with them at night on 20/40M, it’s mostly the Pacific Northwest).
Oddly, everywhere west of the Mississippi is quiet.
I even made contact with Cuba today
