One thing I really enjoy about the Gunn Superman films is its commitment to an American civil virtue in a 21st century “ woke” way. Kindness is punk is actually very radical in an era of grimedark cynicism.

My setting pet peeve is what I like to call grimedark - when the status quo is so inherit to the system that any hope of change is a non-starter, making any grand scale event have no real stakes because you know it won't budge the setting.

The story itself is a classic epic fantasy travel story.
I like all the characters and it hurts when they are hurt, which they are-repeatably (because Grimedark).
The pacing of the story is very dip towards the end and the middle being the strongest suit. Uneven with a long
