A Mourning Dove hen and squab (Columbiformes: Columbidae: Zenaida macroura) nesting in a barn. These common birds inhabit much of North America. They typically nest in trees or on the ground, but don't mind humans and aren't afraid to use buildings. Clayton Michigan, 21 Jun 2013.

A female Indigo Bunting with nesting material, taken a month ago. The females have mostly brown plumage, which helps them blend in with their nests that are built close to the ground.
