The city bought Pine Grove Golf Course in 2020 and launched the Pine Grove Restoration and Nashawannuck Brook Rewilding Project. Crews removed concrete armoring, catch basins, bridges, and a failed culvert, and installed beaver dam analogues (BDAs) to let nature restore the stream.
