Does this golf course have any significance beyond that? Is it historic in some way? This seems different from tearing down the East Wing or playing baseball in GTNP or giving a strip of Yosemite to private developers, is all I mean. Just trying to understand it.

Ahhh that's quite the iconic location in GTNP.
I've actually not been there and it's on my list. I usually stick to Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and southern Wyoming around the Medicine Bow Mountains.

How about instead restarting the nightly ranger presentations in the campgrounds in GTNP? I was so, so sad that Signal Mountain has a beautiful ampitheatre going unused.

Happening at GTNP too. I went 6 times between 1991 and 2007. Each trip the glaciers were receding with less snow on the mountain peaks.
