I'm talking about how trans characters are tagged as andromorph and gynomorph, which are then automatically labeled as intersex.

Andro/Gynomorph are Zoology terms, largely referring to sexual mimicry which is a reproductive strategy where one sex (typically a male) mimics the chemical signals, behaviors, or appearance of an opposite sex for access to mates.

They also are used to describe specific sexual dimorphism.

My proposal is simple: Tag what you see is an invalid system.

Reform of this mechanism to be multifactor is not what Bob Simple will +1 off of, they don't get it.

So what's the actual bite? Transgender identity is a valid identity tag.

We don't need gynomorph/andromorph because booleans are real.

intersex isn't a slur it is just the incorrect word to use. both options suck but I would rather be called a slur than have people assume intersex is a fetish term like how "herm" "futa" "andromorph" "gynomorph" are, because at least those words are entirely fantasy. At least then people won't

whose body has changed on HRT would be tagged as either andromorph or gynomorph and then automatically tagged as intersex. when they are by definition not intersex.

The issue with e_621 is that you are physically unable to not tag trans bodies as intersex as the andromorph and gynomorph tags imply it, which means it gets added automatically.

I think they're now correctly tagged as "intersex", but also the tags for trans man and trans woman are "andromorph" and "gynomorph", which I dunno if they're technical/scientifical terms.

the funny thing is that I think these tags are not the most logical for what people see. It would make way more sense to have a tag like "person with breasts and a penis" because that is what they see, "intersex" literally tells you nothing, "gynomorph" tells tou nothing, "female" tells you nothing.

yea this is important to mention so thanks for bringing it up, i am looking at it through an intersex lens but the transphobia is also half of the issue. i think andromorph and gynomorph are like comically awful words to use lol

before i ever came to the realization that i am trans, seeing "gynomorph" as a tag, i felt so strange and bad, especially since i had never even heard or seen it before.
something that helped me to realize my own identity, was learning a new slur for myself. that's not how it should be for anyone.
