The fan fiction "Elysium Spoiled" was written for the Supergiant Hades video game franchise by Arya Greenleaf on the Archive of Our Own. This 9,518 word story is rated Explicit for sexual content including rough sex with no lube (that is, however, enthusiastically consented to). The on-screen pairing is Ares/Zagreus with background references to Thanatos/Zagreus. Other story elements include battle injuries as a result of canon-typical game play action, incorporation of mythology references beyond that in-game, and some jealousy. The summary reads: “How curious,” Ares breathes, cupping his wet hands around Zagreus’ face and swiping his thumbs over his lips. Zagreus can feel the grit still on his skin, scratching. “I’ve never really thought about what it’s like to die. I wonder if it’s the same for the mortals -- or it’s some special pain reserved for you.” “I’d like to think I’m exceptional in some way.” Ares laughs and it echoes through the room and makes the water tremble. “When we reach the surface -- when I bring you to Olympus -- I think I’m going to keep you.”

The fan fiction "The Thousand Natural Shocks that Flesh is Heir To" was written for the Supergiant Hades video game franchise by Arya Greenleaf on the Archive of Our Own. This 4,008 word story is rated Explicit for sexual content including frottage and mutual masturbation. The on-screen pairing is Hypnos/Zagreus with vague references to other intimate relationships for both characters. Other story elements include references to mythology beyond that in-game and the effects of a boon from Sleep. Zag describes feeling of euphoria and sedation, although he is still in control of his faculties and is able to actively consent. The sexual content is of a platonic rather than romantic nature and occurs semi-publicly as they are situated on Hypnos' couch in the Great Hall, although the House is empty for once. The summary reads: The God of Nothing kisses Sleep. He dives into the bottomless well of slumber-manifested and tastes the warmth of his mouth and the smoothness of his teeth and the sweetness of his breath and the softness of his skin. Zagreus clutches at the silky froth of his hair and pulls him as near as he can and kisses him until he’s gasping -- like he’s surfaced from the Styx.
