Comic 25: Birth of the Rahaga is a sort of in-between retelling of this backstory, mixing early with final lore. Roodaka, Nidhiki and Krekka are all depicted in their originally intended roles as the Makuta's captains. They clash with the Hagah, but Roodaka is not put to sleep.

In older concepts, the Toa Hagah were exposed to Visorak spider venom and gradually "aged" into Rahaga, essentially becoming Turaga Hordika. In the revised version, Roodaka herself poisoned them. Her poison ability was later changed to an all-purpose instant mutation power.

As in the final lore, Roodaka mutated the Toa Hagah into Rahaga, but the Hagah managed to put her and Sidorak to sleep. How or when they woke up isn't elaborated on, but I guess this explains their absence from Legend of Metru Nui's events. Nidhiki and Krekka took their place.

Stop shuffling through the Psalms.
They are not a random playlist. Psalm chapter one and Psalm chapter two are an intentional gateway into the entire book. In Psalm chapter one, verse two, the blessed person meditates on God's law day and night. The Hebrew word is hagah. It means to mutter Scriptu

In Ps. 1:2 today: 'on his law they meditate day and night.' To hagah/ meditate is to actively engage with the text. Life with the scripture keeps bringing us home. Go deeper than being told. Let the shepherd speak us to Shalom. Flourishing. Ubuntu. Meditate is my work today.

No masks? It’s Ass!
The toys? Wack. The non-collectible gimmick because you’re gonna lose the spinner? Wack. An extension of the prequel that prolongs us from the fate of Mata Nui? Wack. The Toa Hagah? Okay pretty cool.

Huge thanks again to Another Bionicle for commissioning me to illustrate the variant cover of BIONICLE: Inside War issue #10!
The physical copy turned out great. I'm one step closer to being a real comic artist 😁
