Now listening to the soundtrack to John Waters’ original Hairspray (1988). A glorious collection of ‘hairhopper’ music, The Bug, Mama Didn’t Lie, Shake a Tail Feather, The Madison Time, The Roach, plus I Wish I Were A Princess by Little Peggy March. The latter still speaks to me.
