I'm no AI maximalist but I feel that maybe taking quotes from X which is rife with hype and the Silicon valley bubble is distoring your view. Insecure, buggy, unmaintained code predates AI, so do product clones. It does lower the barrier to entry which hugely increases the amount of halfbaked code

The thing about working with LLMs is that I can throw out a halfbaked idea and a minion will dutifully run it down and things I would probably have never built get built and some of them are Very Good. Shaved 50% or more of I/O off of building Python test setups under Bazel like it was nothing.
