CHICAGO — It’s set to be a loud and action-packed weekend in Chicago with the return of the Air and Water Show. And if the high-flying festivities on the lakefront aren’t your thing, there are plenty of more laid-back events to attend.
The Chicago Vintage Festival and Stay High Trinket Fest are on deck. So is the Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest, the Handmakers Pop-Up, the 19th Bronzeville Art District Trolley Tour, M.A.P. Your Health Chicago and the Taste of Africa 2025.
You can also catch a play based on the hit movie “Waiting to Exhale” or enjoy a one-night concert in Pilsen.

### Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest

The Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest will return to Rogers Park with an immersive weekend of the arts. The fest includes over 100 artist booths, open studios hours at local galleries and plenty of live entertainment on outdoor stages.

### Chicago Air and Water Show
10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday-Sunday
Along the lakefront from Fullerton Avenue to Oak Street Beach, with North Avenue Beach as the focal point
The city will host its annual Chicago Air and Water Show this weekend on the lakefront. Attendees can expect aerial performances from the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights and more.

### 2025 Air & Water Show Viewing Party
11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday
The Lakefront Green at Theater on the Lake, 2401 N. Lakeshore Drive
Theater on the Lake will host the seventh annual Air and Water Show Viewing Party on its outdoor space. Ticket purchases include food from Smoque BBQ, an open bar, plenty of seating and on-site restrooms.

### When Boys Exhale

Definition Theatre, 1160 E. 55th St.
Based on the hit book and movie “Waiting to Exhale,” Cagebirds Productions unveils its tribute play, “When Boys Exhale.” In the play, Jonathan and Andre have been fans of the movie since they were kids, and now, as Black gay men, their appreciation for the film deepens when their adult lives slowly mirror the situations the women faced in the movie.

### Stay High Wear Trinket Fest

Village Bucktown Dispensary, 1850 W. Webster Ave.
Join Stay High Wear for their last Trinket Fest for the summer. The fest will feature over 40 vendors selling Labubu accessories, blind boxes, original clothes and more. There will also be a photo booth, BBQ food truck and other food options for attendees.
