Macclesfield's Red Willow Sabro Porter available in The Sportsman, Huddersfield. Quality as always. So rich with subtle but not overpowering coffee notes. An Empire Brewing event at this deservedly busy pub on the 13th too

What a superb afternoon cycling. It's a 40+ miler from The Potteries to The superb Elms Inn, Stapenhill, Burton but The Bass was excellent and guest beer Thornbridge Crackendale superb. Autumn really enhances this pub.Train back🚴

Final stop before Leeds. The Dewsbury Refreshment Rooms. Wylam Sonder in perfect condition. Subtle citrus notes with residual sweetness. About as good a pint of cask as you can get.
