Very useful resource from #HannahRitchie on US electricity. Looks like a lot of hard work went into this. Thank you!

Food is very difficult because it is so tied to sense of self and culture, I agree that shaming is bad, but individual vs systemic is a false dichotomy imo. With meat substitutes, experimenting with ways to use them in your diet seeds systemic change that makes it easier for others to do the same!

📉 Eindelijk krimp fossiele productie in China!

Great new chart from @ember-energy.org.

So far this year low-carbon power has grown faster than electricity demand, leading to a drop in generation from fossil fuels.

Let's hope it continues.

Canada is well below the other donor countries tries in this list - are we spending all our tax dollars on weapons now? Ihttps://open.substack.com/pub/hannahritchie/p/uk-aid-budget-cuts?r=i134r&utm_medium=ios
The UK is cutting its aid budget to the lowest level in decades
After pledging to increase the budget to 0.7% of GNI, the government is cutting it to 0.3%.

I fear you're right but I hope #HannahRitchie is righter in Not the End of the World:- we've made a good start and done more than many people realise but we have to go further and faster to stop using fossil fuels and eat less beef and lamb. (Pulls sheets over head and waits for storm of responses)
