A bright overcast day. We are atop light gray stone cliffs looking down along wooded slopes gradually descending towards an industrial section of a river valley several hundred feet below. There are several weather-beaten pines on and around the cliffs and several hardwoods sporting bright red, gold and orange foliage. The wooded slopes feature a mixed forest of evergreens and hardwoods, with splashes of autumn color diminishing as they approach the valley, although there is some color even down there.

It is evening in a forest of leafy hardwoods carpeted by lush ferns. The late day sun is low in the pale blue sky, shining directly towards us through all this greenery.
