The details of this story are so harrowing, and this is the part that I have been thinking about the most. What kind of justice can bring peace to someone who has endured this kind of brutality. And are the systems we have set up to deliver that.
What about her future? What about how hard she worked to be there? What is to become of her life now? What process of justice could possibly right these wrongs? And how much more will she lose in the process of trying to get it? How much more of this are we all supposed to tolerate?
