OK, Vance is a smart, well-read guy, not in a bubble. So he must know, then, that "Hatians are eating pets" is a demagogic lie likely to result in violence against innocents, right? And that's *worse* than being in a bubble & believing it, right? Morally speaking?
I don't know why I got roped in here but Vance is clearly a smart guy who can articulate his thoughts well and reads a lot from diverse sources. He's not in a right-wing bubble. He does, like a lot of big readers who argue in public, sometimes mangle what he read for his purpose.
