A lovely bouquet from Quasi Hatrack for #bloomscrolling
First desk bouquet of the season! I might get some tulips in time for finals next week, but that's still pretty iffy.🌱

The elegant St Vincent Chambers of 1899-1902, known to all and sundry as the Hatrack, designed by James Salmon Jnr who died on this day in 1924. A slender, abundantly glazed Art Nouveau masterpiece with projecting finials on its roof, thought to resemble the pegs of a hatrack

Designed in an Art Nouveau style by James Salmon Junior, the Hat-Rack was built in 1899. I love the screaming head below the window, too!

I love this sculpture by Francis Derwent Wood on 'The Hatrack' on St Vincent Street in Glasgow. It's officially described as a goat-head, but it seems more anthropomorphic than that to me.
