Everyone just needs a healthier relationship with old ass games. Yes, if it's a chore then move on, but also you can do so much mentally to meet an old game at it's level and TRY to understand what it's expecting from you instead of fighting it. Here's a great vid!

(One final HBII thought before I go back to work -- I had forgotten that every time I see it, "I Can't Smile Without You" gets stuck in my head for bloody days... the HB/Abe drunk scenes remain unexpected and excellently funny)

Doing my morning volcano check ins and found this super cool time lapse vid of the recent Kilauea eruption
It gets really pretty about halfway in as the flow wraps around the caldera and forms a lava lake

HBII: Senua's Saga
Sometimes being unable to take my dev hat off while playing just means the experience isn't restful, and sometimes it really takes over the experience and defines how I feel about a game. I couldn't get immersed. I just had review notes. And that's sad. I enjoyed the original.

I've been in the middle of orchestrating a move to Mexico for the past year, just signed a purchase contract on a house last week, so I've been on a major gear purge. I can only take up to 4 without paying customs fees on them. Definitely taking my PRS McCarty and HBII Piezo SE:

I've reached ultimate petty "will unfollow/block/unsub" for offending my fragile opinions energy. Just unsubbed from one of the few video essayist channels on YT I like because the creator said Guillermo Del Doro "peaked with Hellboy II."
I love HBII, but that kinda silly ass business can MISS ME.

I had the Paul's Guitar SE in the same color, has a wraparound hardtail (which I prefer to trems), and individual coil cut switches. Moving to Mexico soon, have to limit the gits I'm taking so I sold it, taking my HBII Piezo SE and core McCarty (both have the same bridge as Paul's and WF profile).

Yeah that's what I heard. And the combat and puzzles were already so rudimentary.
Makes me wish Sony had bought them and got them to make Heavenly Sword 2 tbh. Though if HBII is anything to go by it would be even more of a technical mess than the first game.

Totally (and I need to rewatch that one). The attention to detail is *astounding* and it is everywhere and he signs off on each and every bit of it. Just one example, behind the scenes HBII. I never realized there were cubbyholes for shoes in the Troll Market like a bowling alley. But he was looking
