Her face was carved in stone, but he didn't care. He liked her better this way. Beautiful, serene, and forever his. No need for that messy divorce now. He really ought to find that dark wizard and thank him. He didn't see the flash of vengeance in her otherwise still eyes.

Reclining in cold splendour, beautifully draped, her face was carved in stone, with blank staring eyes and her nose long broken off. But it was the mouse under her marble pillow that caught the eye … what did the carver mean by that?

She stood silently in the doorway, like a statue of some long forgotten goddess. Her face was carved in stone, save for her eyes, which burned with flames from the fiery pits of Hell.
Fearing her wrath,I dared not beg mercy, just gathered the two bags that lie at her feet and slunk away. #hbp39

It was like her face was carved in stone, Cosmo thought to himself. Every time he stared at the alien skeleton that made him a General, it served as a reminder of his Faustian mistake.
"Look at your boy, now..." Cosmo said to himself. "People are going to war over a corpse." #hbp39

I think this one, rather than write something on the fly, I'm gonna use a snippet from my WIP. Not quite carved in stone, but smooth as marble gives similar vibes, I think... #hbp39
