#octoberhorrormoviechallenge Day 25: #thetexaschainsawmassacre2 The director of the 1st movie, Tobe Hooper, returns to direct the 2nd movie as well. The eerie & creepy atmosphere from the 1st movie is gone & this time the movie is more over the top black comedy slasher, with gore effects by Tom Savini. One of the highlights of the movie is Dennis Hopper's over the top batshit crazy performance & I don't care what you think, it's one of Hopper's best & memorable roles! Despite the different tone & feel, this is the only sequel in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise that I actually like. The 3rd movie is okay & worth watching, but the 3rd & 4th (which sucks) movies are both trying to be a rehash of the 1st movie. The remake looked like a generic, bland slasher, it wasn't as impactful like the original movie. But its prequel, TTCM: The Beginning, was better in comparison. The remake's prequel was a much better origin story than the original movie's origin prequel, Leatherface. That one was such bullshit & non believable at all! The 1st requel, Texas Chainsaw 3D, wasn't good, but the 2nd requel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022, was much worse! It tried to be like Halloween 2018, but failed! #tobehooper #leatherface #billjohnson #dennishopper #carolinewilliams #humanskinmask #chainsaw #headsplitopen #bloodsplatter #billmoseley #choptop #metalplate #coathanger #wig #jimsiedow #draytonsawyer #grandpasawyer #corpse #thehitchhiker #thesawyerfamily #cannibals #skinnedalive #ribcage #imthelordoftheharvest #bringitdownbringitdown
