#heartbypass
Got the hospital bill for my #HeartBypass yesterday. For, the operation and nine days in hospital I need to pay …

€100.

I really, really appreciate German health care.

An occasional series of what my Garmin watch is saying after my #HeartBypass.

Started wearing it again about 2 weeks after the op. The watch is basically going “Dude! WTF?”

I need more rest and seem permanently stressed? Ya think? My resting heart rate is higher. Really?

As I’m returning to work full time next week and am therefore officially Healed, I thought I’d share some thoughts about my #HeartBypass. Blame the g&t I just drank in case this gets maudlin.

Caveat: this is my subjective experience, I am not a doctor.

Blood 🩸 test tomorrow so only water allowed from midnight till the blood extraction at 08.00.
Why is it when you can’t eat or drink you’re suddenly hungry & could murder a cup of coffee !

The watch is now telling me my HRV status is balanced, not 6 weeks after the #HeartBypass.

Well, HRV has gradually risen, but the watch has also recalibrated downwards.
