Yeah, I guess so. But at that point you may as well just make an identical fan game and work from there. You don’t need the exact 8 bit code from the Game Boy to produce a game that looks and plays like it.

Also real KH heads know that after 1, KH splits into 2 tracks; Action games with light RPGs elements, and real time action Menu RPGs
Any KH inspired game needs to understand this and choose its path correctly

all these KH inspired indie games advertise themselves with barely edited combomad videos, you gotta understand that KH isn't a series that sells itself on how many juggles Sora can do
