A picture in light and airy colours. Song Lan, Xiao Xingchen and Xue Yang are walking into frame from the bottom left, wearing their new outfits. They're holding hands. In front of them is an ornate gatehouse with thick wooden pillars carved with magnolias, white stone walls and grey roof tiles on a roof with curved edges. Beyond the approaching trio, the gate can be glimpsed to be open, sunlight shining through it from inside, and beside it waits a woman in white and pale blue robes. Beside the gatehouse is a high white garden wall with grey stone lattice windows, and behind the wall and gatehouse can be seen the branches and foliage of a huge green tree. Beams of sunlight shine down on the whole scene from behind the tree, and in the sky to the left, three birds are flying wing to wing.

Song Lan, Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen stand in the middle of the image, and a house in Cloud Recesses can be seen behind them, the sign above the door sporting a four-character idiom framed by icy blue tassles. They are all wearing their new robes, Song Lan's are black brocade, with wide shoulders, tied with a wide green belt with a thinner white belt over it, and a silver hairpin shaped like a plum branch with red flowers is in his topknot. Xue Yang wears his jade green robes with a shimmery hematite overcoat, textured with reptile skin. He wears a black wide belt with a thinner white one on top and the tiger hairpiece in his high ponytail. Xiao Xingchen's robes are pure white with gossamer frost patterns, tied with a wide green belt with a thinner black one on top, and he's wearing his silver hairpiece shaped like a mountain with a white jade disc moon rising behind it. His eyes are luminous white jade, looking slightly eerie. Both daoshi carry their fuchen, their swords on their backs. Song Lan looks troubled, Xiao Xingchen calm but determined, and Xue Yang grins a lopsided, wide-eyed grin, his hand raised as if to snap his fingers.

A mountain landscape with clouds drifting between the sharp, towering peaks. A few pines cling to a nearby mountain side and a gnarled pine branch snakes into the image from the top left corner. Some of the green foliage is turning yellow. Song Lan, Xiao Xingchen and Xue Yang can be glimpsed as small figures climbing a mountain path to the left. Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan wear green sashes, and Xue Yang's is black and white.

An image in soft blue tones, showing a sky speckled with stars and a huge full moon illuminating distant mountains and a glittering lake. In the foreground, the silhouettes of five people can be made out against the moonlight, from left to right Song Lan, Xue Yang, Xiao Xingchen, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, all haloed by the pale moonlight. Wei Wuxian is casually holding a wine bottle in one hand and Chenqing in the other. Lan Wangji holds Bichen in his left hand, and his large hairpiece sparkles in the moonlight. Wei Wuxian's red hair ribbons, and the ribbons of Lan Wangji's forehead ribbon flutter in the wind - notably, Xiao Xingchen isn't wearing his blindfold. Trees and branches frame the edges and top of the image.

A soft hazy image in pale watercolours. Xiao Xingchen, Xue Yang and Song Lan stand on a beach, with the surf touching their bare feet. Xue Yang is leaning in to kiss Xiao Xingchen who is holding his face gently with his hand. Song Lan stands behind Xue Yang, who is reaching back to link their hands together. Their hair and the ribbons of Xiao Xingchen's blindfold are fluttering in the ocean breeze. Pale reeds are swaying in the foreground, and faint silhouettes of three birds can be glimpsed soaring in the sky above the sea.

A view over a river soft with swirling mists. A large, pale yellow sun has just started rising into the sky, colouring the clouds rosy but leaving shadows purple and blue. A small boat with a fan-like sail is sailing on the water, with Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan standing in the bow, Xue Yang sitting next to them and leaning his chin in his hand, their hair fluttering in the morning breeze. A young boy is struggling to pull at the ropes raising the sail, and at the stern an old woman in a conical bamboo hat is at the till. Two pale herons fly over the boat, and there are houses glimpsed among the mists of the far shore, a few lotus fronds peeking out of the mist in the foreground.

Song Lan stands with his sword raised, looking stern and holding his horsetail whisk, Fuxue's blade flashing golden in the sun. Xue Yang stands half behind him, looking at him with a mad grin, bleeding profusely from a wound in his shoulder. The village behind them is lit by red afternoon night, mountains glimpsed in the far background. A bloodied blade cuts diagonally across the image in the foreground.

Xue Yang sits barefoot and cross-legged with his eyes closed, a focused expression on his face that could be either pleasure or pain, or both. A hand reeking of demonic energy rests on his shoulder. Xue Yang is holding on to Xiao Xingchen's hand coming in from out of frame, glowing with white enegy. A yin-yang symbol can be glimpsed behind Xue Yang, who is surrounded by dark and white swirling energies. The background is a starry sky, swirling with more white and black traces of energy. Xiao Xingchen's and Song Lan's profile portraits are faintly visible to the left and right.

Xiao Xingchen is kneeling on the ground, holding up Shuanghua in front of him. Its sheath lies in front of his knees, surrounded by burning sticks of incense with curling tendrils of smoke. Tears of blood is dripping from Xiao Xingchen's face onto the blade, making it look almost like he's cut open his throat again. Song Lan is approaching in the background, one hand raised in alarm, looking terrified. The image is almost entirely greys without colours aside from the red blood.

A sleepy Xiao Xingchen whose hair is also slightly tousled looks on with a smile in the background. The outlines of bamboo can be glimpsed in the background. The scene is framed by the mala necklace, made out of beads with carved symbols, where every third bead has very ugly crudely carved frogs on them.
