#heavyhanded
A multimillion dollar private jet nosediving into a trailer park is some real heavyhanded symbolism even by this era's standards.

I have a suspicion Trump being a heavyhanded idiot is going to backfire in Alaska. Alaskans are not dumb like lower-48 Republicans say they are www.pbs.org/newshour/pol...
FBI visits Dan J. Sullivan donor in candidate's hometown as Alaska Senate inquiry widens
An Anchorage-based FBI agent visited a boat dealership in Petersburg, a small fishing community accessible only by air or water where the candidate lives.

after the last decade of people misgendering frisk, kris, etc. i like to imagine toby decided to make ralsei's gender dysphoria even more heavyhanded because he was aware of how many cishet dipshits there are playing his games. unsurprisingly, it still wasn't enough to convince most of them.
* You wanted to try this one, right? Blue-and-pink.

* H-huh? No, I... how did you know that?

* You were looking at it the longest.
* Just get your fav, and don't worry about Kris.
* Got it, Princess?

even i forget that i do *occasionally* draw

here's something i made as foreshadowing art for that's very heavyhanded if you know what's coming and very vague if you don't

the character is @battleboxcat.bsky.social 's, and he's her pf1e character for a game i run.

more to come, potentially 🤷‍♀️

-The chakra stuff is a bit heavyhanded
-I really don't want them to go down the "evil avatar and good avatar" route
-I think Pavi is the avatar for the spirit world and Nisha is for the human world and they will have to learn to be apart or how to bridge the gap correctly this time

Episode 2 was pretty heavyhanded until the end, but there’s nothing wrong with being heavyhanded when delivering a message (sometimes it’s necessary) and it goes without saying but it doesn’t warrant harassment

Reading reviews on imdb for the Daily Wire turd Confession. There are only three reviews. They list faults like lack of philosophical depth, bad acting, heavyhanded messaging. The average rating is 3/10. What's funny is these reviews have loads of unhelpful ratings :P The fash is big mad lol

I never said they were unrelated, I literally told you earlier that I think the US approach was heavyhanded and ended up backfiring.

So much character exposition packed into a short scene, and it doesn't even feel heavyhanded.

if i wanted to be more worldly i might say Dönersen Islık Çal

if i wanted to be more edgy i might say The Thief and the Cobbler, unfortunately one of the most visually beautiful animated films of all time despite all the racism and heavyhanded orientalism

I am now convinced that we are in a simulation, this is so heavyhanded it has to be written by some shitty turtle's dreamscape.
Pete Hegseth wanted Dwight Eisenhower's globe for his office. His staff broke it.

Photos obtained by The Post show a gash in the World War II-era artifact that resulted from a botched relocation attempt inside the Pentagon.

honestly i wanted to go into it's bunlith being angsty about how heavyhanded and corny it is, but after watching so many mainstream indie shows that trip at the slightest hurdle and attempt mass appeal with high production values, i'm honestly charmed by its simplicity and rudimentary aesthetic

When I was a young man I thought old works where young men hated all adults were a bit preachy, heavyhanded, and unrealistic. We all after all, become adults

Now that I am one, we should build the Gundam in real life and give it to an angry teen and let them do as they ought.

i'd bet there's also probably a number k between m and n at which the effect of arrests changes from ineffective (seems heavyhanded to third parties but is not yet effective enough to prevent continued organizing) to effective (actually heavyhanded enough to trump optics)

If you think a theme of oppression in a historical film is a heavyhanded metaphor, please go and check the history.
Normally it's not doing it *enough*.

Trying to decide whether american letterboxd reviewers are dumb or just mollycoddled in film.
'too fast intro! Couldn't follow the motivation!'
'needed subtitles!'
'lame boy king, too game of thrones'
'heavyhanded eat the rich'
English reviews' main peeve is the muddy greyness.

So she ends up dispensing her own kind of heavyhanded restitution after hearing some widow's sad tale, or talking to a gaggle of orphans in an old village, or supporting some farmers with the aristocrat shearing them down to the bone.

Re "heavyhanded traffic stops" Rosa Brooks in Tangled Up in Blue (about DC) wrote that traffic stops were the single most deadly interaction for both motorists & law enforcement. 1/

The constant censorship laws and bluesky's heavyhanded moderation is taking it's toll, and I'm sloooowly gearing up my contingency plans for both accounts

Hilarious! The measures are so absurdly heavyhanded they give away the game.

i love peering into general discussions of places when people talk gacha and see phrases like "I skip all the Chinaslop" and "I hate this game because it's not grounded in things that make sense" (talking about heavyhanded metaphors in Lahai-Roi)

I have been watching #thewargame on Sky - facinating docudrama on escalation to war between UK and Russia. But they very very heavyhanded message that UK ( and all of Europe) must start spending load of dosh on the militarty. It left me wondering who pulls the strings on our 'entertainment' 1/2
