Had a 2022 Shufu Shufu #Heicha from @white2tea.bsky.social and it was amazing! The first heicha I've tried with the golden flowers and I highly recommend!! I would so buy the 1kg if I could. Tastes like a very unique white tea honestly

another of our recent smokey releases, our Chapo Mid are the older coarse leaves of Guangxi Heicha, where material is made into Liubao. as you can see from the pic, it’s got that classic rustic heicha aesthetic

tried out an unrested Baishaxi 07 Qianliangcha. didnt intend to evaluate from this but it seems like a very solid tea. interesting chocolate and marzipan adjacent notes off to the side, nice full texture. sweet, but not very. dominant moss taste similar to other anhua heicha

recently been drinking through some sichuan heicha. verdict: ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. this was the best of them, the 1980s from thetea.pl. sweet! burly yet gentle! smoky (without smoke) and rich, with no notes of sweat!

yushu's dry storage liubao was the tea for today, a pretty clean and smooth, not excessively dank, piled liubao. nice relaxing bodyfeel

The weird find at Cascadia Tea Festival - Fireweed/ Ivan Chay processed/aged as puer and oolong. It is not puer. I wouldn't call it heicha either as there isn't camellia sinensis. Really neat teas - dark fermented flavor that caffeine free.

Nixing performs very admirably with this tea. Vanillic sweetness, somewhat savoury, calming, and quite refreshing in the damp, hot weather my area is currently experiencing. Well structured.

Golden spore-dusted experimental Yunnan Red (!) Heicha from Cultivate Tea.

Dried black twisted tea leaf, loose and in pressed clumps, sits on a ceramic gray and blue tea boat in the sunshine. Some of the leaves have little yellow spores growing on them, characteristic of an inoculated heicha. This is experimental because Yunnan Red tea is a black tea that comes from Yunnan and isn’t typically processed in a heicha method, which is from Hunan and typically a dark tea (instead of a black).
