and iron infusions aren't working I'm a goner.

I'd cancel, except when I got iron Friday my doc happened to come thru, I waved him over to show him the hives on my arm, and he told me to come in Tues.
Come hell or high water I'm going to vote. BLUE. and help

Since August, I have had multiple blood tests each one adding some extra things, had an expedited appointment with a hematologist and a bone marrow biopsy. All on my BC MSP. I have an ideopathic autoimmune anemia. Also have had cataract surgery on both eyes all on MSP. Would've been $$$$ in the USA

Have a doctor’s appointment 10/28, & I got a reminder text ending with “if you have had a fever, cough, or congestion in the past 24 hours, it is encouraged to wear a mask.” Hematologist, treating leukemia as well as anemia, one would think REQUIRED. I always mask, usually the only one.

My father died of breast cancer. One of the first questions my hematologist asked was have you had genetic testing. I answered yes, no BRCA gene.

To combat Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) my hematologist recommended a GLP-1. Because I am obese insurance covers me for weight loss, but not for NAFLD, go figure. Weighed myself this morning and I am 246.8 lbs at 5'10". This will be my journey.

But if flu/COVID are circulating, vaccinating earlier is preferable to leaving someone unprotected. Blood count recovery doesn't necessarily mean full immune recovery. I'd coordinate timing with the treating hematologist. They know your cancer history and make these decisions all the time

The surgery center needs direction from my hematologist on what blood thinners to give me after surgery so I don't get a blood clot, cause I'm a blood clot risk (I'm not).
My hematologist can't provide the needed information because I haven't seen him in 3 years and am now a "new" patient.
