Indications for kidney biopsy in children: 👶💉
Presents as hematuria, proteinuria and ⬇️ GFR, with normal C3.
Biopsy should be performed:
👶At presentation
👶Persistent, recurrent hematuria, Nephrotic proteinuria or ⬇️eGFR
👶Hematuria + 200-500mg/g in 3 measurements 1-2w apart
#NephJC
Presents as hematuria, proteinuria and ⬇️ GFR, with normal C3.
Biopsy should be performed:
👶At presentation

ketamine is very glamorized in seattle and treated like a "benign party drug" similar to molly or shrooms, and the *permanent* physically debilitating effects are rarely touched on. ketamine cystitis, incontinence, urinary crystals, hematuria, etc. are only the tip of the iceberg. ketamine cripples!
seattle probably has the highest rate of ketamine cystitis than anywhere else
