You cannot overstate how startling it is to see a politician just say the thing with clarity and poise. No fearful hemming. No overwrought qualifying down til it’s meaningless. No lingering sense that there is a loyalty to a donor class or an ideology of stasis that they’d never admit to.

Just ask them who won the 2020 election. Any nominee who doesn’t say Biden without hemming, hawing, or qualifying is — and should be!- an automatic no.
Boiled down: I think a simple standard—no Democratic votes for any nominee who took and passed Trump's creepy new loyalty test—would come as a relief to the country's (sadly narrow) anti-Trump majority, and go some way toward rehabilitating the Democratic Party’s loser image.
Free Idea: No Democratic Votes For Loyalty-Tested Republicans
Executive branch appointees work under the president, but on behalf of the public—this should be an easy line for Democrats to draw.
