This early Heroes World Star Wars ad still gives me the chills, something about that slightly off model everything that is just pure childhood.

Marvel very nearly did a very cool thing.
They came close but failed. SPIDER-MAN HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR #1 almost essentially re-did this old holiday card from the Direct Sales dept. (during their #HeroesWorld Distribution fiasco days, so either 1995 or 1996 [probably '96 judging by Storm's costume].

I was a mark for the whole MIDNIGHT SONS (Doctor Strange's secret, mystic pawns).

Bought multiple copies off the rack, & then, when Marvel tried distributing themselves via direct new & back-issue mail-order (pre-HeroesWorld buyout) [bypassing shops], I bought the set again for a subset-collection.

Hollywood Heroes in NJ #heroesworld #toyhunter

Those are gobots under different names, the ad is for whatever HeroesWorld was at the time.

Remember those weird #superhero catalogs from #HeroesWorld back in the 70s? I do and I'm jawin' about 'em in my fist #Toyhem article for 2025. Hit the link for all the tawdry goodness.

Check out #HeroesWorld on IG, they are running a contest to give away tickets for Night at the Zoopocalypse, which is starring @bitterasiandude.bsky.social

Stopped by one of my favourite places #HeroesWorld in Richmond Hill for some Christmas shopping.

They have everything ! Books, boardgames, cards, figures and a lot more. Great people behind the counter too.
