I cannot spell out what options exist in modern day in HGSS to get the experience of going online and using the Pokewalker with/without original hardware because I have to be careful what kind of attention I direct towards fan projects. But there just are options for these things.

I recently added a fifth HeartGold / SoulSilver save file to my regular rotation of shiny quest files and found it difficult to keep track of what team was hunting which shiny Pokémon

Two good things about the year ending is 1) the year is ending and 2) my HGSS safari zone is actually working and levelling up from time passing which is pretty epic

Pokemon HGSS is pretty fun so far though much like the original gen 2 games, leveling my pokemon up for these gyms is very slow and annoying

And as beloved as HGSS were and still are, don't act as if people didn't shit on that too because of the bad level curve.
The games were never perfect and people didn't always know how to play, si these things weren't that big of an issue.
