Do mammals share an ancient circuit for hibernation? The discovery of a hibernation hub in the brains of hibernating hamsters suggests yes. Can it be awakened in animals that don't naturally hibernate? Stay tuned - researchers are trying that next.

A brown bear who underwent pioneering brain surgery has emerged from semi-hibernation in good health.

Three-year-old Boki, a resident of Wildwood Trust near Kent, had been suffering from seizures believed to be caused by hydrocephalus (a build-up of fluid on the brain).

I read this and my brain understood it like "the new jetspy is bazoonga, it completely spookifies the boomblats that called all GEIOFs from hibernation multiplox system!"
The Bluesky Jetstream is great - and we just made it better. Introducing the Graze Turbostream, an enriched Jetstream that includes *all* stale referenced objects, and completely skips the need for redundant hydration API calls!

I can't stop thinking about bear OCs prepping for hibernation and getting more and more ravenous as the months draw near. Getting fatter and more desperate to stuff whatever/whoever they can down their gullet. Leaving a trail of discarded accessories in their wake~ 🥴♥️💦
