I put in 2 submissions to the #hiddenREF from my team, both of which I'm incredibly proud of no matter the results.

I’ve seen a few images pop up from the Festival of Hidden Ref without alt text - please remember to add it (and check out the other accessibility tips in this thread) @hiddenref.bsky.social #HiddenRef
And finally - if you're promoting a conference or session on social media, or posting as you attend an event, do it accessibly! Use alt text on any images and use #CamelCase to make your posts screen reader accessible, so everyone can engage with your content.

In a way that feels very on brand for the idea of the #HiddenREF, there have been 4 of us from Leeds at the festival over the last two days and we didn't know we'd each be here. But that won't stop us collaborating on and coordinating our next steps!

Who else is watching the Awards ceremony? So important to consider all these “other” contributions in our sector here in UK. #HiddenREF
Yes, it's a fancy word. But heuristics (our shortcuts for making decisions) are everywhere. But this is a problem for output evaluation! This is why recognising diverse outputs and understanding responsible use of research metrics are important. #HiddenREF
