VSCode definitely, perhaps Dash for documentation, Kitty terminal, Stats to live in the menubar and keep an eye on CPU, GPU, disk, network, etc. as needed, HiddenBar or Bartender to tame menubar clutter, perhaps Raycast for hotkeys and window management. As a long time Vim user, VSCode vim is great.

Like, for normal people? Or for me specifically? I install Nix and run a couple commands to install/manage a ton of productivity nonsense. Karabiner-Elements, HammerSpoon, Rectangle, and HiddenBar are my OS tweak utilities. Spend most of my time in WezTerm, VS Code, Firefox, Slack, and Obsidian.

I was already using a tool called `hiddenbar`, which worked most of the time by only showing the interesting icons. (Hint: you can move icons by using the command key)
Though occasionally I would run into needing that specific program, that was unreachable anyways.

Does anyone know if there is an app to have a dropdown tool for the #Mac #menubar?
To have a workaround for the notch in combination with too many icons?

Something like `hiddenbar`, but even better...

Heavily inspired by HiddenBar, I literally made this because I wanted a global keyboard shortcut to toggle and show app icons in the menu bar.

Could totally have done this in AppleScript I know, but where’s the fun in that?
