My project, HiddenFun, at ZALF (Germany), started in September, and I have been very busy since arriving here. All of these experimental plants have now been harvested, and I am looking forward to comparing the transport and acquisitive functions of their roots using various measures!

I've just presented the first results of my project, HiddenFun, at the PopBio Conference in Marburg. I hope the beauty of the roots has resonated with others (you can see two pictures from my poster).

While I summarize pilot results from my HiddenFun project, new plants to compare root function between clonal and nonclonal species are growing 🌱Growing from seed is so much slower than cloning, which I have experience with!
