The state religion, the Messianika, is a descendent of a heavily syncretized set of concepts from Catholicism, Sufi Islam, Mahayana Buddhism, and Vaishnavist Hiduism--faiths with major messianic/saviour/prophetic/mystic components. The Imperium is nominally the vanguard for the next messiah.

Shiva Nataraja - the Hindu god Shiva in a cosmic dance - Shiva's dance, called Anandatandava, represents the creation, preservation, and destruction of the universe, a cyclical process in Hindu cosmology.

The statue is rich in symbolism. The ring of fire represents destruction, while the drum symbolizes creation and the beat of time. His raised right hand offers reassurance, and his gesture toward the raised foot signifies liberation from ignorance. Nataraja is often depicted standing on a demon (Apasmara), representing the overcoming of ignorance and illusion. His matted hair, which includes the goddess Ganga, embodies the flow of cosmic energies. The Parivrtta Hasta Padangusthasana yoga pose, also called Dancing Shiva, mirrors some of the dynamic aspects of the deity's dance, challenging balance and promoting strength and flexibility.

I had the opposite of this a while ago when I realized Ever17's sad theme, Karma, wasn't just named that for all the Hiduism the game pulls from but because it fit's the OST's theme of naming everything in German, because "karma" is loaned to a lot of languages.

in hiduism our gods are just normal people. and what we call an avatar is someone who teaches a specific lesson the same way a god did. so we broke the christian brainwashing using princiokes from the religion of freedom
