I‘ve never heard anyone claim that (eg) sensory processing was lowD - that wouldn’t make sense! (Are you looking at a pen or a face or a table?) …. that’s always been a highD problem. I’m guessing you are talking about the realm in which 1D could possibly make sense? Like 1 variable decisions?

We combine RL, computational neuro, & AI interpretability for tools to address this gap. In Lippl et al 2026 we extract compositional operations from the latent space geometry of reasoning models. The latent spaces of transformers offer highD spaces as a testbed for composition of cog functions.

HighD hatte auf der Con am WE eine Mobile Nebelanlage. Er hatte einen von den ganz großen Akkus und da hin dann eine Nebelmaschine dran. Damit ist er dann durch den Wald gelaufen und hat rumgenebelt. Das war sooo cool *_*

I agree, the highD POV is more useful (to me) to link neural activity & cognition. But I also think there's many ways to look at this. Completely negating that some cells have peculiar selectivity preferences is essentially calling a lot of people delusional, and they are not
