Your voice comes out as a snarl as you ride the synth high of neural bonding with HEADTAKER. "Standard sweep out, find the Imminent Threats and clear a path for me to close with the primary phoboform." By the second or third word you almost sound human again.

Your squad awakens from metal slumber. Their steel bodies freeing themselves from docking bays in hisses of detaching hydraulics. Sabre's towering Monarch chassis is the first to follow, it's frame a deep crimson, contrasting with your- HEADTAKER'S gunmetal grey, her missiles a far cry from your brutal melee weapons.

You sprint towards the hangar, your squadmates falling in behind you. Your heart is racing as you skid around the final turn and the hallway opens into a cavern of reinforced plasteel. Klaxons and the sound of rushing weapons loaders make a near deafening cacophony. You stride forward, it's time to mount up.
