Hirao loved Anzu-chan, got to meet its renowned live-action director Nobuhiro Yamashita, plus he had the chance to drink and nerd out with Mochizuki & Kondo after an Ocean Waves screening. Pretty damn good week I'd say

Last month they gave no update for a change, but it's been approaching the end of preproduction - so screening a pilot for festival attendees like they just did makes sense

Takayuki Hirao and CLAP's Wasted Chef anime film has revealed a teaser trailer and an upcoming manga adaptation.
i held off on watching the oshibudo anime because i was afraid it wouldn't hold a candle to hirao auri's manga art, but it's actually doing a pretty good job in that regard.

Their current lineup with a fantastic-looking film by the Odd Taxi gang & Hirao leading his Pompo bros yet again is as interesting as they've ever been though, so keep that miracle working for a while longer at least
