This is a custom order from Ogden Pride of a pastel rainbow All Flowers pattern, but in 48” rather than 30” or 35”, with curved arms, so I’ll do the math to add tension on the outer rounds. I’ll add 3 more rounds & block it tonight.

All done! ~50,000 stitches in my self-drafted All Flowers pattern. Daisy at the center, then leaves, then tulips, and finally fans.

Off it goes to its new home tomorrow and the slate is wiped clean for my next mandala.

A finished 48” crochet mandala parasol is fully opened and held above my head as I take the picture. My thumb and thumbnail are peeking in at the bottom left of the image. This parasol features Hobbii Sultan 100% cotton that is OEKO-TEX certified in a ROYGBIV rainbow for Gay Pride moving from red at the center to purple at the edge. This pattern is a self-drafted one I call All Flowers with a daisy at the center followed by leaves, then tulips, and finally fans at the edge.

This is my Spikes & Diamonds pattern in a beautiful 100% cotton yarn from #HobbiiSultan. Cotton is wildly wasteful to grow & process, so I use yarn certified for sustainable practices. It’s not perfect, but it is better.
A crochet mandala lies on a black desktop. This mandala is pink at the center where the pattern has 8 very pointed shapes I call Spikes. As the pattern moves toward the outside the yarn begins to fade and incorporate lavender which is now ourple at the edge where I’m making the diamonds of my Spikes & Diamonds pattern. It is still a work in progress.

A fully finished crochet mandala is displayed on its parasol frame. This is one of my many gay pride parasols and moves gradually through the ROYGBIV colors with red at the center and purple at the outer edge. This parasol frame is 30” in diameter when open and has blue details at the arm tips, top, and handle. This is the inside of my newly-finished 30” Gay Pride parasol and this time it is lit artificially. The crochet mandalas fades gradually through the ROYGBIV Gay Pride flag colors with red at the center and purple at the edge. The parasol frame’s blue handle is also visible.

Monday night update on this mandala in its glorious gay pride rainbow colors. So close to the finish!

This 🧶 is by Hobbii and is called Sultan Cotton Kings in color 29. This yarn is OEKO TEX Standard 100 certified.
