Work in progress 🛠️

(I used my worn hobbyknife for cutting the lead wires and not my vulnerable nippers btw 😅)

A bit boring, isn't it? So let's plant more weeds.

Cut from a paper with various needles, some with hobbyknife. Glued carefully.

I need to improve a way I plant static grass, needs more control.

Ah yes the hobby scalpel cycle

1. "Oh man my blade sure isn't cutting like it used to"

2. Replace the blade

3. "There we go thats much better"

4. Immediately cut yourself on the newly extremely sharp blade

5. Swear, use blade until step 1

Hello #PortfolioDay !! 💥

My name is Nanna, I'm a danish illustrator who mostly draws and writes for my 7 original characters!

I'll be opening commissions very soon to cover some expenses, so I figured i'd get some of my stuff out there 🫶

For the shallow lines you can use a hobbyknife to make those spots deeper for the ink to flow. Me personally i just do these spots by hand with my old panel liner and continue the rest of the figure with my flow type panel liner.

Alternatively the Dspiae Siren, which is like half the price of the Raser and comes in various sizes.
Or if you really wanna save money, just any cheap hobbyknife + thumb nail will do :D

Good luck!
Get a glass file, some sanding sticks, water and a fresh blade for your hobbyknife ready, you will need it :D

Ah, classic! Bet that went over well with the community.

I used sponge painting for this fella. I don't have a "tool" for it but I just stick it in the end of one of my hobbyknife grips as I'm sure most people do something similar already. Can't imagine needing a specific tool for it lol.
