Poetry is not dead. But some of us might write about the undead. I made a #horrorpoet starter pack. Let me know if you want to be added! 🖤 go.bsky.app/EWnMJGD #horrorsky #horrorpoetry #horrorwriters

I got an acceptance letter today for four poems that will appear in issue #71 of the Alien Buddha Press 'zine. Woohoo! #writer #horrorwriter #horrorpoet #poet #author

Signed the contract so now I can reveal my dark poem 'See Here' has been accepted for @gravesidepress.bsky.social Illustrated Poetry anthology. This is a milestone for me as it is the first poem I've received payment for. 😀 #poetry #writingcommunity #writer #poet #horrorwriter #horrorpoet

Listening to my favourite writing playlist as I work on my witchy, gory, sapphic novella-in-verse today! 🔪🫐🥩
I'm so close to the end... I only have the climax of the story left!

Right, calling it here for now; I'm very tired. I have one poem left to write, and then the first draft of my unexpectedly-year-long project will finally be done!🔪🫐🥩

Attempting to finish chapter three of my witchy horror novella-in-verse in advance of tonight's #HorrorWritersChat! Surely, I can write two (maybe three) poems in an hour and a half? Here's hoping, so let's find out!

I'm back in the cemetery again, writing more poems for my interactive story-in-verse! I'm composing them directly in Twine; it's strangely easier to make them there rather than in Word. No music today -- I'm listening to the birds instead🖤

Update: I have now written over 5000 words of poetry for this project, spanning 31 pages and over 60 poems! I still have quite a way until the first draft is done; at least a chapter and a half, but it depends on how chapter 4 develops.

And chapter two is... done! I'm halfway through this novella! Yay! This chapter contained the longest poem yet, at 62 lines. 62!
Current total poem count: 35 (subject to change, and most likely will)🖤
Two chapters to go!

Right, back to writing plot poems, researching Stockholm Syndrome (for no reason in particular, don't worry about it), and eating wild strawberries! As always when working on my novella in verse WIP, I'm listening to: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SESG...

Started chapter three today! I'm four poems in and it's going well! This is the chapter I'm worried about, which is why I put off starting it, but if I want to read the entire thing at once and enjoy it, I have to actually... y'know... write it. So I am!

Okay! My energy to write has run out, so I'm calling it here for now. I'm very pleased with myself; I sat down expecting to write 1 poem if I was lucky, with half a poem being more realistic. Instead, I wrote 3! I now have 4 poems left of this novella-in-verse!

I can finally think after far too many heatwave days, so I'm using this break in the exhaustion to work on my novel-in-verse! Today's poem is a very narratively-tricky one that I've been anxious to attempt... I'm listening to: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SESG...
